ON MARK MAKING AND
LEAVING A MARK
BY PENSRI ROWE

2017

'The chapter describes individual and dyadic art therapy with a four-year-old girl and her mother. Relational trauma, sexual abuse, identity and the mother/child relationship are explored. Countertransference images are employed as reflective tools from which to gain greater perspective on the work and reference points for exploration of emerging themes. The images contain aspects of the strong transference and countertransference dynamics typical when working with this age group.'
